The Boy On The Beach
I’ve known Noel as a good friend for thirty years, even if most of our time was spent at opposite ends of the country. Although I never called him that, I always thought of him as “Sparky” because of his electric personality; I mean just look at his hair. He’s gone now, but his charge is still out there.
THE BOY ON THE BEACH
By smooth curve of beach
Against a small surf
Stands a boy casting stones
The mist hangs softly
As the thrower moves on
Leaving tracks in the sand
Gone forever from this painting.
