Mom's Legacy

Moms’ Legacy... A murmur of sorrow was heard on September 5, 2012 when our Dad had passed. The murmur had come to a painful crescendo on December 22, 2012 when our Mom also became silent. This silence fell upon our hearts. Our parents’ journey here on earth had ended. In life, Dad took us as far as he could and let us find the rest of the way with our Mother. Our beloved Mother took on this daunting task alone and led us on the remaining part of Our Life’s journey. All the while encouraging, loving, and challenging each of us in her way. We struggled, we fought, we cried but we never gave up. Our Mother showed us that regardless of any obstacles that come before us we do have the ability within each of us to overcome and move forward. As like our Father, Our Mother walked with us on our path as far as she was humanly able. She instilled in us great fortitude and insight. One to see what ‘Is’ ~ the other to ‘Overcome’. Today neither of our parents will be on the path we choose. However, their spirit will be with us to help navigate and light the road that is ahead for us and our children. With the uniqueness of Our being, the essence of our parents, and the knowledge we gained from them and their parents before them, we will pass on to our children the movement forward. ~ The movement forward to enlightenment and a better place that will house peace, love and contentment within each of us. Time to time we may stray from this path but the road will always be in front of us if we choose to SEE. The legacy of the generations that have come before us is in our hands. It is our obligation to our children to hold the beacon of light and shine it bright before them until it is their turn to take hold. In doing so we will in turn be given one of the greatest gifts ~ children that move forward in life. This legacy will be passed on, as it should, and thus, one day we will all come to meet. Mom you are my greatest teacher. “You’re always on my mind” Love your Silvana
