I have known David and his family since he was my music teacher at Anne Hutchinson School some 55 years ago. As I grew up I followed David as a teacher to the Jr. High school and finally EHS. He was a marvelous teacher who loved coaxing terrific music out of kids who sometimes didn't care nearly as much as he did. Our families stayed in touch all these year. He often got together with my father for dinners or a movie. Only three years ago he travelled with my father up to Chappaqua to see my daughter's performance in her High School musical. He was wondrously complimentary to her and every bit was totally genuine. He impacted more lives than he possibly could have known as his students passed the love of music he instilled in them on to their children. He will be sorely missed.
