One of the many

I'm just one of the many people who's lives Coach touched.  I'm not an athlete, and I spent a lot more time with his brother Tom than I ever did with Dom.  But I can still remember when Coach walked into Mr. Visconti's gym class at Anne Hutch (circa 1964?) and introduced us to gymnastics.  He had a gift for making everyone feel special.  Finally, in my senior year (1977), I joined the gymnastics team and participated in the rings and tableauxs.  I don't know if that is still done at EHS, but it was a big thing back then, especially for a non-athlete.  Without that, I would not have had any team sport experince in school.  Coach made me feel like my contribution mattered.  His demeanor set an example for everyone.  I'm glad that I can always see him again when watching him coach in "The World According to Garp".  My condolences to his family, which we are all a part of.
