Daniel DeRito, 85, of Scarsdale died on February 4, 2016. Beloved husband of Lucy Vincento-DeRito. Loving father of Jim (Paulette) DeRito, and Lisa (Joseph) Russo. Cherished grandfather of Alison (Peter) Wong, Andrew (Christen) DeRito, Kayla and Ryan Russo, and great grandfather of Matthew DeRito. Dear brother of the late Josephine Mascoli, Vivian Tambone, and Lorraine Catarinacchio.
Daniel was born on March 4, 1930 to the late Vincent and Lillian Strolla-DeRito. He served in the US Army from 1953-1957. He worked as a vocational teacher at Mt. Vernon High School until his retirement. He was an active member of the Eastchester Senior Center at Lake Isle.
The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER Sunday, February 7, 2016, 3-7pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday February 8, 2016 at 10 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Scarsdale. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
