Christopher J. Southard, 28, of Tuckahoe, died suddenly on October 23, 2015. He was the beloved son of the late Maureen Southard and grandson of the late William and Elizabeth Southard. Loving nephew of Bob Southard, Stephanie (Bob) McGarrah, Sharon (John) Constanzo, Karen (Pat) Fiore and cherished cousin of 12.

Chris was born and raised in Tuckahoe and graduated from Tuckahoe High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Hunter College and a master’s degree from Iona College. Chris worked many years in retail while attending school, before becoming a high school English teacher. Chris had a great passion for video games, comics, music and movies. He was loved by all who knew him: family, friends and colleagues. He was a kind soul who brought light and happiness to the many people he touched.

The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER, on Thursday - October 29th from 5-9pm. Funeral mass will be held on Friday - October 30th, 10:30am at the Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe, NY. Interment to follow at Beechwoods Cemetery, New Rochelle.
