Obituary for William Paul Wadelton

William Paul Wadelton, Jr., fondly called Duke by his family and friends, of Bronxville, died on March 16, 2010. Bill died with courage, grace and dignity after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. He died in the family atmosphere of Glen Island Care Center in New Rochelle where he was lovingly cared for. Bill was born on March 11, 1937 to the late Marion and William P. Wadelton Sr. he was predeceased by his sister Mary Catherine Donohue who died in 1988. He served with the US Navy, aboard the USS the Sullivans DD-375 in 1956 and 1957. Bill was associated with Joyce Beverages for 25 years and later with the Westchester County Board of Elections, retiring in 2004. He is survived by his wife, the former Patricia Manning whom he married in 1958. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Anne Penachio and Frank Malara, Micaela, Careth Jamie, and Caitlin Donohue; Trish, Pamela and Julie Manning and several grand nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held on Friday March 19th at WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER, at 10:30 AM. Burial followed at Beechwoods Cemetery, New Rochelle.
