Condolences & Tributes

Mrs. Singleton was the sweetest person of all time, and a great teacher at Rye High School. I was a real cut up back in the mid 60’s, and she appreciated my humor. Many of her cohorts did not feel the same way about me, but she always laughed at my jokes, and singing “Catch a Falling Star” and “Abbadabbadabba”. I will always remember her fondly with a big smile on her face that she never saved for a rainy day.

It is with the deepest sympathy that I read of Ruth’s passing. A wonderful person who made my job as Sexton with Christ Church such a joy. Ruth will be so sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Mrs. Singleton, when I first moved to Rye I was in tenth grade. One day, in your class, I asked for your advice / help on a project. You were so kind, understanding and helpful. I have never forgotten you since that day. Thank you. You were a wonderful teacher. God Bless you and your family.

So sorry to hear of the passing of such a lovely neighbor of 20 years on Winslow Circle. The Singletons were always so cordial and such supporters of Concordia. Bob and I retired to be near our daughter and grandchildren in Littleton MA in 2023 and I remain now in Concord MA. There are many fond memories of our Tuckahoe neighborhood and neighborhood.
