Ruth Nehring Beshears Cobb of Yonkers/Bronxville, passed away on September 29, 2012.
Ruth was born on December 9, 1918 to Frederick and Helene Nehring in New York City. She
grew up and lived most of her life in the Crestwood, Westchester Hills and Lawrence Park West
neighborhoods of Westchester County, until her retirement at Meadowview at the Wartburg
in Mount Vernon. Ruth was a proud member of the Wellesley College Class of 1940, with a B.A. in Economics.
Ruth was predeceased by her first husband John L. Beshears, Jr. and her second husband
Jess Cobb. She is survived by her two sons and their wives - John III and Eleanor Beshears of
San Francisco and David and Barbara Beshears of Brewster; her sister, Grace Wolf of
Indianapolis; her grandchildren - John IV, Laura, David Jr. and Danielle; and by numerous
nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
