Rocco Costanzo, 92, of Tuckahoe died on April 20, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Melina. Beloved father of Maria (Simone) Joseph and John (Donna) Costanzo. Cherished grandfather of George, Jennifer, Michael, Matthew, Catherine and Regina Joseph, Joseph and John D. Costanzo. Dear brother of Anina Aceti, Rita (Luigi) Mignardi, and Frances Zuccarelli, and the late Rafaella Gallucci, Elena Carpino, Antoinetta Nicoletti, and Salvatore Costanzo.
He was born October 21, 1929 in Cosenza, Italy to Giovanni and Marietta Martino Costanzo. He emigrated to Canada first and then to Tuckahoe in 1956, and shortly after he married Melina Buzzurro. Rocco had his own landscaping business for over 30 years and served lower Westchester County. He was a volunteer Eastchester Fireman for over 50 years and reached the status of captain. He was an executive board member of The NY Turf and Landscaping Association for many years. Rocco was also a member of the Eastchester Italian American Club and the Knights of Columbus.
The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER Sunday, April 24, 2022, 3-7pm. Mass, Monday April 25, 2022 at 10:30 am at Assumption Church, Tuckahoe. Entombment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
