Mary F. Walpole Lara, 74, of Yonkers died on June 9, 2012.Devoted mother of Maria Elena Lara Kim and Joanna Lara Zuppardi, dear sister of Dorothy Flaherty and Robert Walpole and cherished grandmother of Naomi and Zachary Kim. She was a graduate of Preston High School, Katherine Gibbs and Sarah Lawrence College . She then received her Masters in Social Work at New York University. Mary was an executive assistant with the Volunteer Center of Westchester in Hartsdale. Visiting at the Westchester Funeral Home,Inc., Eastchester Tuesday from 6-9PM and Wednesday from 2-4, 7-9PM. Requiem Mass, Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe, Thursday, June 14 at 9:30AM followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
