Obituary for Joseph D. Borrelli

Joseph D. Borrelli of Yorktown Heights passed away on May 6, 2012 at the age of 84. He was born on March 24, 1928 to the late Salvatore and Bridgida Borrelli in New York City. Joseph lived in Eastchester, NY for 48 years. Joseph proudly served as a United States Marine in the North Chinese Theater at the close of WW II. He owned and operated a Powertest service station in Eastchester and two others, and worked as the service manager at Jernigan Pontiac. Later in his life he owned and operated a lunch truck in Tuckahoe and Bronxville. Joseph also worked as a Parking Enforcement Officer for the Village of Bronxville. Joseph was a eucharistic minister at Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe. He enjoyed gardening, painting, and tinkering in his shop. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Joseph is survived by his children Gregory Borrelli and his wife Marie, Debbie Abbate and her husband Chris, Richard Borrelli and his wife Kathy, Mary Borrelli and her husband Greg Carpiniello, and Doug Borrelli and his wife Jennifer; his grandchildren Gregory, David, Trish, Nicholas and Paul; great-granddaughters Alexandra and Elyse. He is also survived by a sister Frances Benson. He was predeceased by his wife, Josephine Borrelli; a son, Joseph S. Borrelli; and sister, Sunday Adorno. Funeral services were held at WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME in EASTCHESTER and Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe. Burial took place at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
