John Waters Eaton, of Eastchester, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2023.
John was the Town Clerk of the Town of Eastchester from 1973 - 1985; and its Deputy Town Clerk from 1972-1973. Prior to serving Eastchester, John was the Vice President and Secretary at Arthur B. Eaton Associates, Inc. (Reinsurance Intermediary 1961 - 1972). His resume includes various insurance positions as well as local broadcasting stints using his distinctive voice.
Besides his work history, John also involved himself in avocational activities and organizations -on the local community and statewide levels. He was talented, hard-working and cared about his town. As a graduate of Syracuse University and also served on the Syracuse Alumni Association.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Teri, with whom he shared 59 wonderful years. They shared their love of Church, Bible study and a small but loving family.
A memorial service will be held at Village Lutheran Church on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 10:00 am.
