John Avellino passed away at his home on Monday, September 28, 2020. Devoted husband of over 65 years to his loving wife Anna Maria.
John was born January 28, 1928 on the island of Ponza, Italy and immigrated to New York with his family in 1948.
He was an Army veteran and proudly supported his family, he was extremely hard-working and worked many years as a construction foreman.
He was devoted to his family and was pre-deceased by his loving eldest daughter, Antoinette in 2015.
He is survived by his wife Anna Maria ; son-in-law Giovanni Gizzo (husband of Antoinette); son Joseph and daughter-in-law Silvana Avellino and daughter Mary and son-in-law David Leach. Grandchildren Nick, John and Rosanna Gizzo; John and his wife Dana and Amanda and Paris and Wyatt Leach and great-granddaughters Olivia and Mia Avellino.
The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER Wednesday, September 30, 2020, 4-7 pm. Mass, Thursday October 1, 2020 at 10:00 am at Annunciation Church, Crestwood.
