Johanna Carmel (Lyng) Brigandi, beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on January 21st, 2023 with her daughter, Donna by her side. In 1975, Johanna married the love of her life, Joseph Brigandi. They were blessed with having one beautiful daughter Donna. Johanna lived a life full of love and friendship. She enjoyed traveling, summer days by the pool and visiting with friends and family. She loved to dance and never missed a celebration or a block party. Johanna dedicated many years of love and attention to the Our Lady of Fatima Parish and helped establish their special needs religious educational program. Johanna is survived by her daughter whom she adored and who holds a very special place in her heart. Johanna will be greatly missed by her many brother and sisters: Richard (Dick) Lyng, sisters Sr. Bridget Mary Lyng RSHM, and Sr. Rose Carmel Lyng SMG. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Brigandi, brothers and sisters Martin, Mick, Thomas and Sr. Rose Monica Lyng SMG and Mary Dwyer. Johanna’s memory will be cherished by all her nieces and nephews and her many "grandchildren" of Park Drive. Although her time here on earth has ended, we pray that she is reunited with her husband, mother, father, family and friends who have gone before her, and that they are ready to share many memories of growing up on In The Rower.
The family will receive friends on Thursday January 26, 2023 from 4-8 PM at the Westchester Funeral Home, Inc. Eastchester, NY.
