Obituary for Ines Barletta (Zorzo)

INES BARLETTA
3/07/1925 - 7/26/2012
Ines passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She is now with the Lord where there is no more pain or sorrow. In her 87 years she touched many lives and her memory will live on forever. She was a great cook, baker and was known for her infamous cheese cake recipe. Ines loved to entertain and truly lived her life for her family. She adored her grandsons Eric and Scott who always seemed to bring a twinkle to her eyes. She loved her trips to Atlantic City with her best friend Judy DePippo. There is no doubt her and Judy are “yanking” the slots in heaven right now or that she is catching up with her lifelong friend Margery DeSantolo who she has missed for many years. We are also sure she will never miss another Yankee game and will continue to root for her favorite player, “Jeter." In addition to her grandsons and their girlfriends Tara and Shannon, Ines is survived by her children Janet (Barletta) and her husband Bill Vollmer, George and his wife Tilly and Karen and her husband John Ratto. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Lucille Zorzo, Paula Ford and her husband Paul and her nephews Jeff, Greg and D.J. Ford. Ines was predeceased by her husband George Sr. and her parents Joseph and Louise Zorzo. While we all know she is in a better place her void will be impossible to fill. We love you Mom and will never forget you. May you rest in peace now until we meet again. Visitation will be held at WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 190 Main St., Eastchester on Saturday, July 28 from 7-9 PM and on Sunday, July 29 from 4-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 10am at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Scarsdale. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ines's memory to EVAC, Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 482, Scarsdale, NY 10583.
