Edward "Ned" Hayes, longtime resident of Tuckahoe and Eastchester, died on May 23, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Mary C. Hayes for 60 years, devoted father of John Hayes and his wife Mary, Mary Clare McLaughlin and her husband Al and Noreen Vogel and her husband Artie. Cherished grandfather of Eamonn, Eoghan and Conall Hayes, Brendan (Colleen), Brian and Sean McLaughlin and Claire Marie, Colleen and Timothy Vogel. Great grandfather of James McLaughlin. Also survived by his brother Mylie Hayes and his sister Bernadette Mannion. Along with his wife Mary, he was predeceased by his sisters Peg, Lilah, Marie, Kathleen and Bertie. Edward retired as Vice President of Operations at Amscan after 30 years. Edward and his wife Mary were among the founding members of the Eastchester Irish American Club where the friendships they made over the years have been an important part of their life. They have been devoted parishioners of the Immaculate Conception Church for over 50 years. Visiting at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC., Eastchester, Friday May 25 from 4-8PM.
