Condolences

Condolence From: David Schultz
Condolence: Dear Peterson Family,

I'm so sorry for the loss of Dr. Peterson but hope you find peace and comfort in knowing that he has been redeemed and restored in his heavenly home! As I reflect on his life, I'm reminded of the words in Matthew, " Well done, good and faithful servant!" From the time I was a small child -- living five doors down the block from your family on "faculty row" -- I've admired and respected him for being just that. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Condolence: Dear Meg,

I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the funeral after all. I had to be in NJ all day yesterday and could not get to the wake either. My parents live there now and I was caring for them. They are not healthy enough to come to the wake or the funeral and they asked me to send their regrets. (My Mom is very uncomfortable with e-mail, etc.)
I am not able to get out of work on short notice, just saw the OBIT on Tuesday am. I am disappointed because I wanted to come and represent the Kebschull family and myself. Your dad was special to us. I was also hoping to see you. (I don't have your address to send cards, etc. so I am relying on this method of communication.)
I wish you the comfort of friends and family and the comfort of knowing how much your father is appreciated, the good memories he left with so many. Love, Heidi

Condolence: Krista, and family,
You shared your father's challenges over the last few years with me a bit and I am sorry for the progressive loss you all felt. Hopefully a time of peaceful feeling will fill the gap over time. He sounds like a man who made his contribution to the world with his life, and passed on his good spirit to the next generation. Take good care.

Condolence: Dear Sharon,

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your lovely husband. I was sharing some memories with my parents last evening and they expressed how they still think of him as a good family friend. He went out of his way to welcome our family to the Concordia community in 1971 and continued to reach out to my parents at various times during their years in Tuckahoe.

May you find some comfort in knowing how well Cliff was appreciated and admired. I also have my own memories of his warmth, intelligence and charm when speaking to him at church as a teen and young adult or when visiting Meg at home.

With affection, Heidi Kebschull Haring

Condolence: To Meg and Krista: I am sorry to hear of the passing of your lovely father. We were discussing fond memories that my parents have of him during the years they were in Tuckahoe. They were especially touched by the way that your Dad went out of his way to make them feel comfortable when we first arrived in 1971. They have considered him to be a good family friend ever since.

I also have good memories of the times I came to your house and your father always took the time out to talk with me and to welcome me. He truly leaves a legacy of grace, warmth, intelligence and a lovely smile. May you feel some comfort in knowing how appreciated he has been. Sincerely, Heidi

Condolence: Meg- We were so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I remember you speaking of him lovingly at a Christmas party a few years back as you told us that he was a minister in my home town of Mt. Vernon. I'm sure that he will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by your family and his many religious followers.
