On Wednesday, January 8, 2020, Bea passed away peacefully in her sleep at Highland Nursing Home in Wellsville, NY. Bea was formerly from Eastchester, NY. She was 100 years old. She was born May 10, 1919 to Angelica and Joseph Serrecchio (who predeceased her) in Mamaroneck, NY. Bea attended Mamaroneck Public Schools. Bea was employed at Playland Amusement Park in Rye, NY where she met Elmer Hague. They were married on November 30, 1948. Elmer predeceased Bea on January 1, 2002. Bea was the middle child having 3 sisters Mary (Joseph) Lucas, Rose (Art) Schuttenberg and Anne (Albert) Fraioli. She had 6 predeceased brothers; Alfred, Lee, Emilio, Thomas, John (Josephine) and Rocco (Margaret) Serrecchio and a sister-in-law, Diane Serrecchio. There is one surviving brother, Carl Serrecchio, of Sunset Beach, NC.
Bea and Elmer never had children but were blessed with 19 nieces and nephews. Barbara (Frank) Davide of Egg Harbor, NJ; Elyse (Allen) Pooler of Schaghticoke, NY; Kurt (Robin) Schuttenberg of Ithaca, NY; Craig (Colleen O’Leary) Schuttenberg of Chicago; Lynda (George) Wagner of Sunset Beach, NC; Ellen (Daniel) Carson of Kerhonkson, NY; Joseph Serrecchio of Esopus, NY; Therese Fleischman of Wellsville, NY; Albert Fraioli of Valatie, NY; Thomas Fraioli of Boston, MA; Therese (Michael) Lee of Germantown, NY; Mary (Mateo) Fraioli of Brooklyn, NY; Cynthia Fraioli of Manhattan, NY; Elizabeth Westmoreland of Wentzville, Missouri; Joseph Fraioli of Milford, CT; and Frank Fraioli of Westchester, NY. Bea was predeceased by 3 nephews Rocco Serrecchio and John Francis Serrecchio of Eastchester, NY and Richard Hague of Yonkers, NY. Bea has numerous great nieces and nephews as well as great-great nieces and nephews.
Bea worked at the County Trust Company/Bank of NY until she retired. Bea always loved to make arts and crafts and would give them away to people as if each one was a golden treasure. Bea and Elmer loved to travel to Europe and around the United States. Bea especially enjoyed the little children she encountered and would always bring a smile to her face. Bea has touched so many lives throughout her long lifetime. She had many friends she held close to her heart, Pat, Briedy, Cathy, Gayle and her friends at the Highland Nursing Home who were always willing to help and care for Bea. The world is a better place for Bea having been here, we will miss her dearly.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-8 PM on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, 190 Main Street, Eastchester, NY 10709. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 9:30AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, 53 Winter Hill Road, Tuckahoe, NY 10707. Burial immediately to follow, HOLY MOUNT CEMETERY in Eastchester, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or the Immaculate Conception School in Wellsville, NY 14895.
