Obituary for David J. Brown

David J.  Brown
David J. Brown, of Yonkers passed away on October 31, 2018. He was 87 years old. He was born on April 6, 1931 in Jersey City to John Russell and Agnes (Kelly) Brown. David is survived by his daughter Stacy-Anne Fernandez and husband Joseph, his son Paul T. Brown and wife Krista and by his granddaughters: Courtney-Anne Fernandez, Ashley-Lynn Fernandez and Annaliese Rose Brown. He is also survived by his sister Nancy (Brown) Furstner of Naples, Florida.
David was a wonderful father and grandfather. As well as a loving husband to his wife Joan (Enke) Brown for 54 years who predeceased him in 2012. He attended parochial schools in New Rochelle and A.B Davis High School in Mt. Vernon. He enlisted in the US Army in 1951 and was stationed at the Panama Canal during the Korean War. He went on to work as a barber and shop manager for over 60 years, David enjoyed conversing with all of his customers. He devoted his life to providing for his family and spending time with his granddaughters who will deeply miss him.
The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER Thursday, November 1, 2018, 4-8pm. Mass, Friday November 2, 2018 at 10:00 am at Annunciation Church, Crestwood.
