It's so hard to say goodbye to this great lady. So genuine, so loved, so present for everyone in her world.
When I lost my own mom, she was there for me, offering to stand in any time, and she did so effortlessly, more than she even knew. She and her wonderful Nick were like my spare parents, and they opened their home and their family to us. Every visit was a thanksgiving. The world is good to you when it gives you good people to bond and laugh with, beyond our generations.
To Roseanne, my cherished friend for ages, and to Jeannine, my great, bonus buddy kid sister, thank you for sharing. My heart breaks for you both in all your amazing courage. May it sustain you through this terrible time of loss.
To Aunt Ro, Peter, Chrissy and Pam-- and the whole greater family who meant the world to her-- may you all take comfort in the many shared memories made, and may her memory be a forever blessing to all.
My husband Kelly and send our love and sincere sympathies and share in your grief.

Here's to you, Rita:

Roseanne, James & Jeannine, I am so sorry you are going through this again so soon after losing Uncle Nick. It's never easy and we're never old enough to lose our parents, but I believe they are together and dancing to Sinatra, laughing, and smiling down at you.

Dear Roseanne and Jeannine,
Your Mom was the strongest and most amazing person, and loved by all. I always admired her zest for life and how she understood each of us. Our block was a family & your Mom was the baby who was always smiling and joking with all of us. Whenever I would come to town I would just stop by to say hello and she always made me feel so good, because she was so happy to see me. Those were the good old days, and those memories will stay engraved in our hearts forever. My heart goes out to both of you, and just know that I will always be here for you. Rest in Peace Little Rita, we love you.
With love,
Stephanie
