James Capossela, 91, of Eastchester (formerly of West New Rochelle) passed away on June 9, 2018. He was born April 6, 1927 to Mary and James Capossela and proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Following his military service, James was a local business owner and active supporter of the New Rochelle Boys Club, Exchange Club, Rotary Club, American Legion, and Knights of Columbus. James is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Josephine (nee Faccone), children John (Christine) and Michael (Robbin), grandchildren Crista (Andrew) DeStefano, Cara (Anthony) DiNapoli, Lauren (Jennifer), Michael (Gabrielle), Daniel and Jacqueline Capossela and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER Thursday June 14, 2018 4-8pm. Mass Friday, June 15, 2018 at 10:30am Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Scarsdale. Interment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
