John R. Hughes of Eastchester passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017. John was born June 2, 1956 in Bronxville, N.Y. to Julia T. Hughes and the late Donald J. Hughes. He received a B.A. from Iona College and an M.B.A. from Fordham University. John married the love of his life, Rosemary Mastroianni, on September 16, 1978. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his son John (J.J.) and his girlfriend Nicole Roth, his daughter Lauren and her husband Arlen Marshall. John was an active parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe as well as a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. He was also a board member of the Cathedral College/Cathedral Prep Alumni Association. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving son, an amazing father, and a great friend. John was loved by all who knew him, and he will live on forever in our hearts. The family will receive friends on Friday January 20, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME. Eastchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10:15 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
