Paul Stratis, 98 , of Pelham Manor died on October 29, 2016. Beloved husband of Frances Stratis. Loving father of Theodore and the late Nicholas. Cherished grandfather of Alexander and Paul Stratis, and great grandfather of Michael and Olivia Stratis. Survived by his daughters in law - Katie and Georgette Stratis. Dear brother of 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
Paul was born in Andros, Greece on June 15, 1918 to the late Nicholas and Calliope Orginos Stratis. He served in the US Army during WWII and received a bronze star. He was owner of the Cross Town Diner in the Bronx. He carried on his love of food and cooking in the home and was also an avid gardener. His favorite bible verse was Timothy Chapter 2 verse 1-2.
The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER Thursday November 3, 2016, 5-9pm. Liturgy, Friday November 4, 2016 at 9:45 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, New Rochelle. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
