Patricia Hope Zometsky Volpe, 81, of Tuckahoe died on October 18, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Charles Volpe Sr. Loving mother of Janet (Lawrence) Cox, Vivian (Frank) Fiordalisi, Charles Volpe, Jr., Patrick (Heidi Allen) Volpe, and Sandra (Franklyn) Tapia. Cherished grandmother of Lauren, Julia, and Jeffrey Cox, Frank Jr., Matthew, and Jillian Fiordalisi, Charles III "Chaz", Michael, and Stephen Volpe, Aidan and Colton Allen. Dear sister of Beverly (the late James) Loughner, Joseph (Jane) Zometsky, Linda (Steve) Beskid, John (Donna) Zometsky, and the late Walter Jr., Ronald, and Lorraine Zometsky. She is survived by her sister in law Agnes Zometsky and by many brothers in law, sisters in law, cousins, nieces, and nephews in the Zometsky and Volpe families.
Pat was born on December 3, 1934 to the late Walter and Dessie Marie Zometsky, in Lucerne Mines, PA. She worked as a secretary to the Guidance Counselors at Tuckahoe High School. She was an active member of the Rosary Altar Society at Assumption Church, where she was a parishioner for over 64 years. She was a member of the Tuckahoe Senior Citizens, AARP, Assumption Parish Council, and the Columbiettes.
The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER Thursday, October 20, 5-8pm, Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Mass, Saturday October 22, 2016 at 10:30 am at Assumption Church, Tuckahoe. Entombment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
