Obituary for Albert R. Vespo
Albert R. Vespo, 99, of Vero Beach, Florida and of Port Washington, New York, died on October 2, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Clare (Santoro). Cherished father of Carla (Amit) Sikdar. Cherished grandfather of Ian (Beth), Ryan, Jana (Nick Kindel), and Glenna (Grady) Creek, and beloved great-grandfather of Cecilia (Ian and Beth). He was predeceased by his parents, Gaitano and Giacomina Vespo, and all his siblings. He is survived by a number of devoted nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews.
Albert graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School and was the founding owner of Ves-Pin Manufacturing Company. He served in the US Army infantry in the Philippines receiving two bronze stars and a citation from President Truman.
The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER Friday, October 7, 2016, 3-8:00 pm. Mass, Saturday October 8, 2016 at 9:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. To sign our online guestbook visit www.westchesterfuneralhome.com
