Obituary for Charles Frederick Browning

Charles Frederick  Browning
Charles Frederick Browning, 84, of Scarsdale, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2016. He was born on July 29, 1931 to the late Ola and Macel (nee Jones) Browning in La Frank, WV.

Fred is survived by his wife Laura, son; Craig (Diane), grandson; Craig and his two sisters; Joan (Homer) Savas and Carolyn Rimert.

Fred served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1949-1952 with the Second Infantry Division.

After Korea, Fred started his career with the New York Central Freight Sales and subsequently held positions in the rail industry with headquarters in Baltimore, MD and New York City.

Fred was also past President of the Traffic Club of New York, and in retirement was an avid golfer. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Fred was predeceased by his brothers Craig, Ola Jr., Harry and Bill and his sister; Pauline.

Visitation will be held on Sunday - June 5, 2016 from 2-5 pm at THE WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC., EASTCHESTER.
Funeral services will be held on Monday - June 6, 2016 9:30 am at the Our Lady of Fatima Church, Scarsdale, NY followed by Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corp or Our Lady of Fatima Church.
