Obituary for Isabel Marie Vidone (Alfano)

Isabel Marie  Vidone (Alfano)
Isabel M Vidone, a resident of Tuckahoe, NY for 12 years, and of Fresno, CA for 72 years, died on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville. She was 84 years old. Isabel was born and raised in Fresno, CA to Mauro and Lucy Alfano. She is survived by her daughters and their respective husbands, Stephanie and Afshin, and Christine and George, as well as 7 grandchildren: Jasmine, Jordan and Jaden Bayrooti, and Jennifer, Alexia and Jacob Evan and Athena Evan-Soleim,

Isabel was predeceased by her husband Frank Vidone and by her brothers Tony, Danny, and John Alfano. She will also be missed by her wonderful and loving extended church family at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Rye and many friends at the Eastchester Senior Center.

Isabel attended Roosevelt High School in Fresno, CA. She was an assistant at the district attorney''s office in Fresno until she was married to Frank Vidone in 1962. They successfully ran Vidone''s Restaurant and subsequently opened other restaurants, a meat market and managed real estate properties.

Isabel was an avid reader and loved to cut out articles and share them with others. She could always be counted on to find the best sales and best food.

Isabel will be remembered as a selfless, kind woman who cherished nothing more than being in the company of her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, Rye, NY.

Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Tuesday, February 2nd at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 3rd at 10:30 AM at Congregation of the Messiah in Tuckahoe.
