Condolences

Condolence From: Donna jjordan
Condolence: I was saddened by the news of stans death but was also happy that the whole gang of friends from the neighborhood are now together once again. I was lucky to spend a lot of time with the "seniors" having them over for parties and just watching them have a great time. Stan was witty, told jokes, told life stories, got his views on society today and totally respect and enjoyed my times with him. Stan, Rachel, my parents and their friends have left me with wonderful memories of their lives and I was lucky to share so much time with them. I will always remember you Stan and will always be grateful for your friendship and your loyalty to me and my family. Love you forever. Donna

Condolence: Dorothy and I send our sincere love and best wishes to the Waitzman family at this most challenging time. Stan was a special friend to many and a very special one to us for many years. I met Stan in the early 80’s, I was a young media space rep and called on Stan at Zachary and Front Advertising in NYC where he was the media director. He was planning schedules for the Eastern Frosted Foods Association and I positioned my newspapers in Westchester to get on their schedule.

Stan was a real pro but it didn’t take long for us to talk of golf and soon played together…every week at James Baird in Dutchess County.

Stan loved to give then NYS Parks Commissioner Bernadette Castro the what for in failing to keep the course up to proper standards. He’d complain about her weekly. And he’d also love to give Asian golfers a hard time (but only within our group)and spoke of the great war. However, Stan would travel up and back to James Baird in his beloved Toyota. A contradiction for sure but from a great man with the biggest smile and an even larger heart.

I’m thankful for the many years of friendship, many memories and all those terrific Saturdays. They’ll stay with us always.

God bless Stan Waitzman and with warmest regards,
Bob and Dorothy Sorensen
