John Karszen, 92, of Eastchester passed away on September 2, 2023. He leaves behind his wife Elizabeth of 67 years. His children, John, Karen and Tom and grandchildren Andrew and Ryan, along with son in law Ray and daughter in law Hilda. Born in Yonkers, John proudly served during the Korean War in the US Army. John lived an extremely full and active life. He loved sports and was a champion weightlifter and bodybuilder, he continued to work out even into his early 90s. John and his wife enjoyed travel, traveling to many countries around the world. John was a dedicated Hartsdale firefighter and always remained connected to the department. He continued to work well after his retirement again into his early 90s. John was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, he had many friends. He always stayed active and provided for his family his entire life. He truly loved life and will always be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
