On July 1, 2022, Diane Ruggiero got the call. Heaven was in need of a multitalented artist with a giving spirit, and she was the only one who fit the bill. The job had its perks: she could finally pick up her crotchet needles again and she’d be reunited with her parents, Jack and Mildred Ruggerio, and so many other loved ones who had answered similar calls before hers. But it also had some major drawbacks. For one, the location was so remote that she’d have to extend a warm “until we meet again” to some very important people, including her four children: Gary, Michael, Sean and Mary Teegarden, her granddaughter Olive, four siblings: Tina Ruggiero Dalton, Toni Ruggiero Viafore, Anthony (Bobby) Ruggiero and Jackie Ruggiero, and many nieces and nephews. But until we meet again, we’re all sure she’s getting cozy in her new position (and maybe even telling the boss how to run things!).
