Obituary for Thomas J Siriani

Thomas J Siriani
Thomas Joseph Siriani was born in NYC on April 27, 1943 to his loving parents, Domenica and Rosario Siriani. Tom attended PS #103 and Evander Childs High School, both in the Bronx. Upon his graduation, Tom enlisted with the United States Navy where he proudly served on the U.S.S. Shangri- La aircraft carrier. After his time in the Navy, Tom followed in his father’s footsteps and became an electrician in Local 3, of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers where he was a member for 42 years.

His love of the sea remained with him long after his honorable discharge from the Navy. Tom could always be found near the water enjoying fishing, the beach and boating. He named his first boat Tom’s Shangri- La as a nod to his time in the Navy. His second boat, the Rosario Mae was in honor of his parents. He was perhaps happiest on his last boat, aptly named, Why Knot Now?, with the wind in his hair and his beloved canine, Sandy, galloping between decks. The majority of his boating life found him, and his partner in life, Amy Lieppe, with good friends at the Imperial Marina in New Rochelle, New York.

Tom is survived by his loving partner Amy Lieppe, otherwise known as his Little Blossom, with whom he shared three decades of life, and their canine son, Sandy # 5. Tom is also survived by his siblings and their spouses, Robert and Toni Siriani, Carol and Ray Normandeau, and Anita Siriani and Mike Doyle. Tom also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Erik Mitchell, Brett Normandeau, Kim Durand, Tiffany Soares, Brad Normandeau and Alex Siriani.

Tom’s wit and humor will be missed by all. A memorial service honoring Tom will be held on Thursday, August 20th at Westchester Funeral Home on 190 Main Street in Eastchester, New York. Visiting hours are from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
