Sylvia Scotland Lewis of New York, NY, passed away peacefully on June 7th, 2021 at the age of 97. Sylvia was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 8th, 1923 to Nell and Thomas Scotland who immigrated from Jamaica, West Indies through Ellis Island, New York, in 1921.

Loving mother of Dinese Grace Hannewald and Camille Ann Ellsworth (fiancé, Christian Rehm). Dear sister of Mildred McKen, Thomas Scotland II, and the late Patricia Pearce and Adassa Williams. She is also survived by many beautiful nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Sylvia always enjoyed making new friends throughout her life and lived in many places, both near and far. She was fond of cooking, entertaining and enjoying celebrations with friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, 27th June, 2021, from 2pm to 5pm at the Westchester Funeral Home, 190 Main Street, Eastchester, New York 10709.
