Sebastian 'Sal' De Meo was born in Bronxville, N.Y. to Italian immigrant parents. He attended Tuckahoe schools and was very bright, skipping the second grade. He went on to study Accounting at Pace University after his service in the United States Navy. Sebastian is a veteran of World War II, serving as a naval signalman.
Sal was married to his wife Gilda for 74 years. Throughout his life, he worked very hard at multiple jobs to support his family, whom he loved very much. He served as a patrolman in Tuckahoe and as a uniformed member of Local 916 Professional Fire Fighters in Eastchester.
Sal enjoyed playing and watching golf, and was a caddy at Leewood as a young man. He liked to play cards and 'drink' goldfish or other snacks from his coffee mug. Sal loved listening to Big Band music, eating shrimp, and cracking jokes whenever he could.
Sebastian is survived by 6 children-- Steve (Donna), Robert, Chris (Barbara), Beth, John, and Rich--, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
