Born June 30, 1937 in Mount Vernon, New York, Ronald Sherding Sr., passed away while on comfort care in Calvary Hospital, Bronx NY after a battle with cancer. Ron is survived by his wife Barbara Sherding, five children, Ronald Sherding, Christopher Scott Sherding, Kenneth Sherding, Tracey Sherding and Ed Witz as well as fifteen grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He graduated from Iona Prep followed by Iona College in New Rochelle. He retired from the US Postal Service and relocated to Westerly, RI where he enjoyed spending time with his wife and dog Molly as well as playing cards, fishing, and soaking up the sun on the beach. Memorial Mass, Thursday June 23, 2022 at 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment of cremains to follow at Holy Mount Columbarium, Eastchester.
