Rita Joan Carroll Cutrofello passed away on December 10, 2022. She was born on May 13, 1936 in the Bronx to Louis and Bessie Nurko Carroll. A classically trained singer and avid reader, she was a graduate of the High School of Music and Art in Manhattan and of Queens College. On November 30, 1957, she married Paul Joseph Cutrofello, who predeceased her. Surviving are their four children - Mary Ellen Cutrofello Cushing, Andrew Fred Cutrofello (Dianne Rothleder), Thomas Carroll Cutrofello (Nancy Ray Taylor), and Susan Cutrofello Miele (Dan) - as well as seven grandchildren: Elizabeth Cushing, Julia Cushing, Megan Cutrofello, Quinn Cutrofello, Jonathan Cutrofello, Samantha Miele, and Madeline Miele. Also surviving is her brother, Peter Neil Carroll (Jeannette Ferrary). Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation (streaming available) on Wednesday, December 14 from 4:00-8:00 at Westchester Funeral Home, 190 Main Street, Eastchester, NY and again on Thursday, December 15 from 9:30-10:30 at the same location. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne NY.
