Richard Earl Chesmore of Yonkers N.Y., formerly of Framingham, Massachusetts passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 4th 2020.
Born December 20, 1935 in Framingham Massachusetts, to the late Earl and Sarah Chesmore.
His wife of 56 years, Constance, predeceased him. He leaves behind three daughters, Kathleen Weinberg, Florida, Colleen Chesmore and Ned Sadowski, of Holyoke and Sheila and Thomas Marcotte of Tuckahoe N.Y. He also leaves 10 grandchildren, Erik, Victoria, Courtney, Thomas, Meghan, Matthew, Taylor, Trevor, Kevin and Gracie.
Richard served in the US Navy as a Petty Officer, 2nd Class radioman. He then went on to graduate from Wentworth Institute of Technology and spent a few years working for Raytheon. After leaving Raytheon he served as a patrolman on the Framingham Police Department while working on his bachelors degree in criminal justice. Richard went on to become a Police Detective and Administrative Aide to the Chief.
Most recently he served as the President of his Coop Board at Bronxville Knolls Towers and was proudly a longstanding member of the Knights of Columbus.
Richard could be often found working in his gardens or finishing a project in his garage. He loved a good game of cards, the New England Patriots, Cape Cod, and the Maine coast. He was a man of tremendous faith who loved spending time with his family, but most of all he loved this country and was a true American Patriot.
There will be a mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday June 10th at Blessed Sacrament Church, Holyoke, MA at 12:30PM.
