Obituary for Ralph Cortellessa

Ralph Anthony Cortellessa was called by the Lord to be with Him in Heaven on June 12, 2020. You made a wonderful choice taking Ralph, my Lord, but you broke our hearts. We need to and do believe that he is in Your loving arms Lord and that of his adoring grandparents Frances and Ralph Cortellessa and Frank and Cecilia Piccininni.
Ralph was 47 years old on May 29th.
He leaves behind a large circle of friends and family who loved and adored him.:
His loving wife Leeann Porpora who he loved, adored, and cared for her during their 18 years of marriage. They would have been married 19 years on June 16th.
His broken-hearted parents Dominick Ralph and Dorothy Cortellessa who loved him from the day he was born and will love and remember him forever.
His loving sister Joy Hartman and brother-in-law Rich Hartman and his four nephews Matthew, Daniel, Jake and Benjamin. Although distance separated them, he spoke of them often and they were always in his heart.
His mother and father-in-law Linda and Vincent Porpora who he greatly respected and enjoyed a warm and loving relationship. They in turn loved Ralph and are heart broken.
His brothers-in-law Philip (Viviana) and Vincent (Jennifer) Porpora and his nieces Alessandra, Julianna and Sophia and nephews Hunter, Christian and Vincent.
He leaves behind his many aunts and uncles and cousins whom he loved and who loved him dearly. Ralph enriched their lives and was always a source of joy and fun at their many family events and gatherings.
Ralph was known to all who knew and loved him as a kind, Loving, fun filled, family-oriented BIG HEARTED man. He was quick to offer help and support to anyone in need. He lit up any room when he entered. His kindness and generosity were even more noteworthy because Ralph like all of us, had struggles in his life, which he overcame with great strength, fortitude, and courage.
How proud we all are of the man he became.
Ralph loved his Connecticut home enjoying his vegetable garden, cooking and his four dogs. His home was his castle and one of his greatest joys.
He dedicated his professional life to service and hospitality, matching his big personality and caring nature. He started his career in the hotel industry and owned a restaurant and deli in Westchester, which was his home for most of his life.
He ultimately found his professional home at Net Jets in a career in client services, a role in which he both enjoyed and excelled.
Ralph will be profoundly missed in this world.
Visitation will be held on June 17th between 4pm and 8pm at the
