Phyllis Leigh, a kind and charming soul passed away peacefully on September 7, 2021 in Eastchester, NY, at the age of 79. Phyllis was born on March 26, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph Rubin and Mabel Lewis Rubin. Phyllis was predeceased by her brother Julius Rubin in May 2021.

She is survived by her children, Heide Conlon (Nader) Maroun, Seth (Nikki) Berr, grandchildren, Hannah and Owen Conlon, Marc and Harrison Berr; sister Anne Shapiro, sister-in-law Florence Rubin, and nieces and nephews. Also, Phyllis is survived by her dog, Cosmo, the love of her life.

Phyllis graduated from Mercy College with a Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies. She worked in the private sector in Bronxville and the Westchester County District Attorney’s office for many years. Also, Phyllis worked for the Westchester County Board of Elections.

Throughout the years Phyllis enjoyed playing tennis, shopping and lunching with friends.
Phyllis will be remembered as a strong and independent woman who was deeply loved by all of her friends, she will be greatly missed as she left us too soon.
