We didn't spend much time together, other than the meetings and activities related to the Sons of Italy's Garibaldi Lodge, but I felt that we were friends and I believe that he felt the same. I will miss his insightful suggestions, always spoken softly and respectfully. A great man who will be missed by many.

Phil White was a prince of a man, an impeccable gentleman who knew how to bring out the very best in people. It is hard to imagine not seeing him walk the streets of Tuckahoe with his beloved Alice.
May he rest in the company of the saints. My condolences to Alice and his children and grandchildren.

My sincere condolences to Alice, Marge, Evan, and the whole White family in their time of grief. Phil always treated me like his own grandchild; with advice, kindness, and boundless generosity. From my youngest memories of him at the old house to the many holiday visits in later years, he was unfailingly warm and welcoming. A pillar of the community as mayor and beyond, Phil left an indelible mark on those close to him and on Tuckahoe at large. He will be dearly missed.
