Obituary for Philip J. J Falcone
Philip J. Falcone, beloved husband to Rita (D’Andrea) for 72 years, passed away at age 95 on April 15, 2023.
He was born on June 28, 1927 in Harlem, New York to Domenico and Maria (Tangorre) Falcone.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Dr. Philip M. Falcone, and his four siblings, Joseph, Vito, Frank and Pazienza.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Marie, son in law, Joseph Nobile, daughter-in-law, Michelle Falcone, his six grandchildren: Joseph, Andrea, Philip, Robert, Matthew, and Marissa; three great grandchildren: Guiliana, Michael, and Philippa.
Philip was drafted to serve in World War II. After returning home, Philip spent 50 plus years as a butcher and a union representative at local 174 in the Bronx. Later in life, he held his favorite job at Phoenix Fitness in Tuckahoe where he opened the gym every morning and greeted the clients and staff who became friends.
He adored his family and went to the ends of the earth for his children and grandchildren. He had a sense of deep love, wit and humor that will be greatly missed by everyone he knew.
Visitation will be held at the Westchester Funeral Home on Sunday, April 16 from 3:00-7:00PM.
A Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Monday, April 17 at 11 AM followed by interment at Cemetery of the Gate of Heaven, Hawthorne, New York. In lieu of flowers friends who wish may donate to the American Cancer Society, donate.cancer.org or Wounded Warrior Project, support.woundedwarriorproject.org
