Peter Laterza, 90, of Eastchester, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 14, 2020; his wife of 64 years, Catherine, was by his side. He was born on March 10, 1930 in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx, and served in the Army during the Korean War. Peter was a proud member of the Italian-American Club, American Legion 979 and VFW 2285, all of Eastchester, and of the Maria Santissima del Bouncammino Society of Brooklyn. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Nancy (George) Inzinna and Elizabeth (Robert) Cangro, and his six grandchildren, Stephanie Cangro, Jaclyn Cangro, Nicolas and Gina Manganiello, Gregory Inzinna, and Joseph Inzinna. A funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 10:30am and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
