Obituary for Peter Iodice

On October 26th, 2022, Peter Iodice passed away peacefully at the age of 86. Pete was born in Bronxville, raised in Tuckahoe, and was a lifelong resident of Eastchester, NY.
Pete was a member of the Tuckahoe High School class of 1954 and played on the varsity basketball team. He was a proud Tiger. Upon honorable discharge from the US Air Force after four years of active duty he went to work for the family Business, J Iodice and Son Fuel Company. From there he branched out into real estate and restaurants. He was the owner of the original Quarry Inn on Marbledale Road.
He was called back into public service by the then County Executive, Andrew O’Rourke, to the position of Director of Veterans Services Agency for Westchester County. A position he held for 10 years.
Pete leaves behind his wife Celine (nee McCaul) of over 50 years of marriage, son Joseph, his wife Gail, daughter Kelly, her husband Angelo Spilios, and his grandson Liam, along with the rest of his extended family. Pete was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Frances, his sisters Pasqualina Gruber (nee Iodice), and Frances Iodice. Pete will truly be missed and in our hearts forever.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Westchester Funeral Home, 190 Main Street, Eastchester, on Monday, October 31 st , from 4:00- 8:00 pm. A funeral Mass will be held at Church of the Assumption, 100 Pleasant Avenue, Tuckahoe, on Tuesday, November 1 st at 10:30 am.
