Obituary for Peter E. Wyss
Peter E. Wyss, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, sadly passed away on January 4th, 2024, at the age of 74. Born in Bremgarten (AG) Switzerland on August 31, 1949, he was the loving son of Xaver and Ida Wyss. He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Berta Wyss, who was the light of his life.
Peter was a selfless individual who approached life with a heart full of compassion and a willingness to help others. A dedicated father of three, Peter leaves behind his daughters June Wyss of Armonk, N.Y., Tanya Wyss-Levine of Tampa Fl, and son Dennis Wyss (Laura) of Armonk, N.Y. He was also a proud grandfather to his cherished grandchildren, Raven Wyss, Logan Wyss, and Matteo Levine whose smiles lit up his world. He was predeceased by his brother William Wyss and both of his parents.
Peter's life was marked by a commitment to service. He proudly worked in the restaurant/hospitality industry for Patina Group for 43 years before retiring in 2019.
Peter's passions were many, but his family always came first. He cherished moments spent with loved ones. His kindness, warmth, quick wit, and sense of humor were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family invites friends and family for a celebration of life on Thursday January 11,2024, from 4-8 PM at the Westchester Funeral Home. He will forever be missed and forever in our hearts.
