Obituary for Nazarina (Rene) Cobuzzi (Mazzetti)

Nazarina (Rene) Cobuzzi, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2019 at the age of 86. She was born on September 14, 1932 to the late Eugene and Pauline (Longo) Mazzetti in White Plains, NY.
She was an Artist, a Musician, a Soloist, and a Teacher of Art, Music and Spanish for several Westchester and Bronx Catholic Schools including Assumption School and Immaculate Conception School until her retirement. She transferred her love for the arts to many a youngster who to this day have stopped her in the street and introduced themselves as one of her students, thanking her for their introduction to the arts. She was the Choir Director for the Assumption Church and later St. Eugene’s for decades: singing for most weddings and funerals. All while fulfilling her role as the mother of seven.
Nazarina is survived by her seven children, Louis (Aggie) Cobuzzi, Eugene (Linda) Cobuzzi, Joann Khoder, Michael (Christine) Cobuzzi, Paula November, John (Gen) Cobuzzi, and Karen (Terry) Kirby; and her cousin Claudette D’Arco. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, Brianne Cobuzzi Fraizer, Kristin Cobuzzi, Leah Walsh, James Cobuzzi, Alexandra Khoder, Erik Cobuzzi, Mark Cobuzzi, Samantha November, Candice Cobuzzi, Julia Cobuzzi, Michelle Cobuzzi, MacKenzie Kirby, and Hannah Kirby; and five great grandchildren, Emma Cobuzzi, Michael Cobuzzi, William Cobuzzi, Eleanor Fraizer and Benjamin Cobuzzi. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Alphonse Cobuzzi.
The family will receive friends at THE WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 190 Main St., EASTCHESTER, NY on Monday, June 3, 2019, from 3 - 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, 9:30 AM at the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Tuckahoe, NY. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, White Plains, NY.
