Obituary for Miranda Sandolo

Miranda Sandolo - DOB 6/25/1936 Born in Ponza, Italy to Pompeo and Gemma. Miranda spent her childhood and young adulthood in Ponza. In 1956 Miranda married Gaetano and promptly immigrated to Bronx, NY to spend her adulthood on Wilson Ave. She then moved to Westchester County in her 60s. Miranda had a sister and two brothers. Her youngest brother Jack predeceased her. She is survived by her sister Egidia and brother Franco. Miranda was a wife, mother, and "nonna" who's priority was taking care of the family she loved so much. Through the years she worked outside the home part-time in the food service industry. She was passionate about going to the San Silverio Shrine in Dover Plains, NY and the events they hosted. She also loved spending time with her closest friends enjoying a good cup of 'black' coffee. Gaetano passed in 1994. Miranda and Gaetano have 4 surviving children, Francesco, Gaetano, Eva, and Paulo. Miranda's first grandchild and namesake (Miranda) predeceased her in 2006. The surviving grandchildren are Robert, Christopher, Gina, Kayla, and Nicholas. Miranda had many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Miranda is also survived by Dr. Luigi Mazzella whom she shared the last 22 years with. She shared her love with Luigi's family including Silverio (predeceased 2020), Louis, John, David and Jennifer along with Luigi's many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
