Obituary for Marie Loffredo
Marie Loffredo (D’Andrea) was born in the Bronx on August 24, 1925 and passed away, at the age of 97, on March 26, 2023. She was married to John Anthony Loffredo on Sept 1, 1947, and he predeceased her in 2012. Her siblings Nicholas D’ Andrea, Antoinette Posillipo (D’Andrea) also predeceased her. She is survived by her sister Rita Falcone (D’Andrea), her three sons and their wives Michael and Linda, Paul and Christalo and John and Faith Loffredo and her eight grandchildren; Christina, Laura, Frances, Paul, Kathryn, Michael, John Anthony, and Alyssa.
Marie attended P.S. 32 and P.S 45 and earned her Bachelor and Master’s degrees from Lehman College. Marie spent 30 years as an educator at the Belmont Day Care Center in the Bronx. She retired at age 80 after many years as the Director of the center. She adored her family and loved children. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday March 28 from 4-9 pm at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, Inc. Tuckahoe, Funeral Mass Wednesday,, March 29 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Bronx followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Her family requests a donation to the Breast Cancer foundation in lieu of flowers.
