Mariano Alvarez, 84, A longtime resident of Yonkers and most recently of Eastchester, passed away on February 24, 2020. He was born on February 13, 1936 to Mariano and Luz (Martinez) Alvarez in Cuba. Mariano is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Laura Alvarez, his four children, Mariano Alvarez III, Laura Hall, Denise Alvarez Berkman, and Nancy Aragon. He is also survived by his sister Maria Luisa Yanez and seven grandchildren. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday February 27, 2020 at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception / St. Mary's Church South Broadway Yonkers.
