Maria Michelle Palmiero, 87, passed away on September 5, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Eastchester, NY surrounded by her loved ones. Maria was born on September 14, 1933 in Decorata, Italy to Giorgio and Maria Antonia Zeolla. She was the second oldest in her family of eight brothers and sisters. She grew up in Decorata and married her beloved husband Giorgio Palmiero on September 17, 1951. In 1961 they moved to America with their two children Libera (Palmiero) Pozzuto and Joseph Palmiero settling in the Bronx, NY. Maria is survived by her daughter and husband Libera and Dominick Pozzuto, son and wife Joseph and Angelina Palmiero, seven grandchildren and their spouses and ten great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER Friday, September 10, 2021, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Mass, Saturday September 11, 2021 at 9:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe. Interment to follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery.
