Obituary for Marguerite Warrens

Marguerite Warrens (nee Keppler) of Naples, FL, formerly of Eastchester, NY, was welcomed home to the Lord on August 7th after a lengthy illness. Born February 16, 1941, and raised in Yonkers, NY, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Borko)and Howard Keppler. Marge was educated in the Yonkers schools and graduated from Hunter College with a degree in education in 1962. She dedicated her teaching career to the elementary school children of P.S. 6, P.S. 18, and Enrico Fermi in Yonkers, where she not only impacted the lives of her students but created lasting friendships with her colleagues.
She is survived by her loving husband John, devoted daughter Kerri, son Kenneth and her only grandson, Kevin, who was the joy of her life. In addition she leaves behind her sister and brother-in-law, Priscilla and Donald Scampoli, sisters-in-law MaryAnn Keppler and Ann Maney, a niece, many nephews, great nieces and nephews. Marge was predeceased by her parents and brother, retired Yonkers police officer Howard (Buddy) Keppler, Jr.
Marge’s great love of golf drew her to Florida after her retirement, where she could enjoy the sport year-round. She also loved music, dancing and was always ready to be the life of the party, be it with family or friends. All will miss her joy of life, storytelling, and smile.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022, at the Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester, NY, from 4 to 8 pm. A mass will be offered on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 9:45 am at St. Joseph’s Church in Bronxville, NY.
